GripUs is a labor of love that started long before the Internet and technology of today - a love affair with firearms that goes back further than my memory, to a time in the late 1940's when my Grandfather would hold me up to a .22 rifle in the fork of a tree so I could shoot at tin cans on a stump and again when I was eight years old and a family friend in the Coast Guard gave me an M1 clip with eight empty .30-06 cartridges in it. I can still remember the smell and smooth contours of the brass.  If an eight-year-old boy could define sensuous, it would be that feeling - a feeling that became a true test of trust during two tours in Viet Nam.
